NO NEED TO KNEAD BREAD

No knead bread

Is there anything better than home baked bread? Yes, there is: home baked bread that dosen't need to be kneaded. Seriously, this is the tastiest bread I've ever made. I found the recipe (link, and in swedish: link) a few weeks ago and have already baked the bread four times. When the bread turns stale after a couple of days I toast slices of it in a pan and rub garlic on it. Great base for bruschetta!

Since the recipe uses american measurements I've written down the recipe using european ones. I've also changed the recipe a bit and added some olive oil into the dough. Yum!

Ingredients

One loaf of bread

• 7,5 dl wheat flour
• 2 tsp of salt
• 0,5 tsp dry yeast
• 3,5 dl of water
• 1 tbsp olive oil


How to make no knead bread

Combine flour, yeast, salt, water and olive oil. Cover and leave in room temperature for 12-18 hours.
Heat the oven to 230 degrees celsius and put in an ovenproof cast-iron pot with lid. Leave in the oven for 30 minutes.
Put the dough onto a surface with flour on it. Shape the dough as round as possible. Leave for 30 minutes.
Put the dough in the hot pot. Put the lid on and put it back into the oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the lid and bake the bread for another 15 minutes. 
Let cool before cutting it.
